Our doctors in Dreghorn can't give us a support letter forP.I.P Saying their hands are tied why is that when I know of other people getting letters from other practices?

Hi @johnlusk57 and a warm welcome to the community! Do you have any other health professionals that would be able to support the claim?

    Hi,

A lot of GPs/ Consultants will refuse to write a letter for benefit purposes. It's most likely because they don't have the time to write them. You may get some GPs that will agree to write a letter but charge for them. Unfortunately it's the GP's decision.

You can ask your GP if there's any medical evidence in your file that you can use. There's no charge to see your medical records and to have a digital copy of everything.

Don't rely on them contacting your GP for evidence because this very rarely happens.
