Money is being reduced from my daughter's ESA. Why is this?

My daughter was claiming carrers allowence and we are both on e.s.a but they started deducting money from her esa so instead off her getting a £140 a fortnight she was only getting £113 a fort night why is this 
As this isent helping either off us I'm also on phone. It.  As I have long term illnesses and disabled

Hi,

When a person is claiming Carers Allowance and ESA Income Related they can't both be paid at the same time. This means that the Carers Allowance will be deducted from her ESA £64.30 per week. ESA will then add a Carers Premium of £36 per week. Carers Allowance then pay your daughter £64.30 per week. This results in your daughter being £36 per week better off. Complicated, yes and very few people understand it but she is better off. Hope this helps.
