edited September 2018 in PIP, DLA, ADP and AA
I received a form from PIP asking me to fill it in and return it by 12th September 18 and another letter this morning saying they have not received it as yet, and if they don’t get it by the 12th sept my benefit will be stopped. My benefit is not due to run out until 2019 , why are they allowed to get away with this bullying. I was kicked off ESA took it to appeal, the judge and the doctor made me feel like I had committed murder.

    Hi @1custom,

    Welcome to the community. :)

I'm sorry to hear about the problems you've been having - it sounds like a really stressful time for you.

Is this a PIP review letter? Unfortunately a review of your benefits by the DWP can happen at any time - even before the stated deadline. Turn2Us have some useful information on PIP reviews which you might find helpful.

Contact PIP & let them know about the letter, I think it's a standard thing as a lot of people forget to inform them of things such as, they need help completing the form & have an appointment for help with Welfare Rights or Citizens Advice Bureu. The trick with the likes of PIP is communication, let them know asap what's happening, hopefully things get sorted out.

PIP is reviewed 1 year before your award is due to end, unlike ESA where they can review you at anytime. You can ring DWP and ask for an extension of 14 days to return the form, this will then give you time to fill it out and gather some evidence to send with it because they rarely contact anyone for this. Good luck.
