Hi. I reared 2 boys with CMT - a neuro condition. Now have some grandchildren with this condition. However, my main concern atm is my 10 yr old grandson with severe autism. His mum has fibromyalgia, and my son is on crutches, having had many ops, many bits of metal work, and fairly frail steucture, and poor balance.
We are hitting a brick wall re what we would like from education system, and what is on offer. Is this a common problem ( as I suspact)?
We love J but he is becoming a danger to both parents, and a bad role model to younger siblings. We would like residential school,.with home visits and holidays, but have been led to believe they would only consider this as a reactive option. After a crisis, serious injury or other serious at risk situations. Even then it is more likely to be into care.
How do other families deal with this situation. Money is the route of all bad decisions. We have none for this.
Thanks.
