Backdated ESA?

Hi everyone
I've just filled out my ESA form for the possible backdated benefit...I was put on con bases ESA from incapacity benefit bk in October 2012,but I've now been told I could have possibly been getting income based ESA premium payments....im confused lol does this mean my benefit will change?Or am I due extra money,can anyone help please?Thanks :-)

Hi,Being entitled to the Income Related top up will totally depend on your circumstances. Living with a partner that works, household income, savings/capital are all things that count for the income related top up. It can take as long as 12 weeks before you hear anything back from DWP and they will write to you once they've made a decision.0
