Backdated ESA?

Hi everyone
I've just filled out my ESA form for the possible backdated benefit...I was put on con bases ESA from incapacity benefit bk in October 2012,but I've now been told I could have possibly been getting income based ESA premium payments....im confused lol does this mean my benefit will change?Or am I due extra money,can anyone help please?Thanks :-)

Have you got a local “CAB” as they would be a good starting point.

I have yes,but I wondered if anyone on this lovely group could help first as I find it difficult to get out....

Hi,Being entitled to the Income Related top up will totally depend on your circumstances. Living with a partner that works, household income, savings/capital are all things that count for the income related top up. It can take as long as 12 weeks before you hear anything back from DWP and they will write to you once they've made a decision.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
