Scandal of some ATU's

I have recently been reading about the terrible scandal of how some people with Learning Disabilities have been forcibly kept in ATU's , sometimes for many years in awful conditions. Apparently, the NHS spent £477.4 million in 2016, with families saying some places costing upto a scandalous £13,000 per week. Allegedly, private firms supported by American hedge funds are making large profits out of this. I have signed a petition against this and wonder what other people have heard about it and what more can be done.

Good to meet you. Yes, I have read this and I have been absolutley appalled by it. I'm not sure what can be done but a petition is a start. It is important that awareness is raised.
