Hi.my PIP has been suspended and my Carers Carers Allowance has been stopped because my PIP forms and letters were sent to the wrong address with a similar postcode to mine.My carer and my brother, who is my appointee, have made several phonecalls to the DWP to try to sort out my claim but have had no success in getting things sorted. The DWP have now changed the address they have on record to mine. The address they sent my forms to is a house that is up for sale.I have always received correspondence to my home address till now and I had to Google the other address because I hadn't heard of it.The numerous phone calls and not getting the matter resolved is making me even more ill.I don't know what to do.Can anyone advise me please?

Hello @jenny59 Pleased to meet you welcome.
Thank you for joining and sharing.
Sorry what has happened. I understand and do feel for you and no wonder you are suffering .
Ask CAB to contact the DWP. That could be a solution.
I know they might advise here and support you in getting the matter resolved.
Also help and advise on anything benefits and form filling in.
Hope that helps. Please ask anything, some one will know.
We are a supportive community. Friendly, care and share.
Please take care

Hi @jenny59
Good Evening it’s great to meet you tonight.

My brother, who is my appointee, phoned the dwp today and they admitted that it was their fault that my form was sent to the wrong address. They are sending me another form to my address and said I should receive it in 4-6 working days. They said that when I return the form the situation will be resolved. My carer has been informed that they can only keep their case open for 2 weeks so hopefully things can be sorted before then and they won't have to make a new claim.I suffer from Anxiety, high blood pressure and PTSD, also Arthritis and lack of balance and this situation has made me ill.I have hardly slept or eaten since my PIP was suspended and when my carer told someone at the DWP, she said "That's not my problem".The woman on the phone was really nasty and had me in tears, but today when my brother phoned he spoke to a young man who was very sympathetic and helpful.0

Hi @Jenny1959
That’s great that your brother stepped in for you.
Yes there are one or two nice people around nowadays.
I know first hand ?that it is no good to get to upset ???
As you can soon spiral out of control making things 100 x worse.
I know that I have to “bite my tongue” most days otherwise I would have been “hung” by now!!!!!0
