I have a fifteen year old son with Athetoid CP. I'm not a Facebook or twitter user so forgive my clumsy social media skills. I have looked on the scope site from time to time over the years and will be asking for advice soon on GCSE maths which is the main reason I've joined if I'm honest.
but it's also nice to say hello to the rest of the passengers in this great big boat we find ourselves in.

Hello @KittyTinker and a warm welcome to you and your son. Very glad to have you with us.
CP was one of my late daughter's many problems, so I encountered it often among her peer group and I loved them all We have many members who will 'know where you are coming from' and a specialist CP advisor, a lovely gentleman, @Richard_Scope and I am sure he will respond to you soon.
I very much look forward to getting to know you.
Warmest best wishes to you both,
@JennysDad

Thank you Jennysdad for your warm welcome. I'm working from home today so I plan to sit down with a cuppa later and compose my first question and have a scan of some other posts to see if I can help in return.0

Thanks Steve I've just posted my first discussion regarding maths exams and finished my tea before I'd even begun, this being the first group I've joined since the brownies I was a bit nervous, but now it's out in the World Wide Web I feel a little relieved. Perhaps I'll make a coffee at lunch time to perk myself up in preparation for reading any replies.
Many thanks0 -

Hello @KittyTinker Pleased to meet you welcome.
Thank you for joining and sharing.
To give to you some reassurance I joined here last year and use this forum to find anything I need regarding my mental health and disability.
Every one is friendly, kind and supportive. Always get a reply.
I was nervous when I first joined. Now one of the team of community champions and now never ever a day goes by.
Have friends on the forum. Always makes my day.
Hope that helps you. You already been given a lot of support from other team members.
Wish you well.
Pleasure to meet you.
