Hi @clarkjohnson
Good Afternoon & Welcome it’s great to meet you today.
I’m very very sorry ? to read post/probs.
Yes unfortunately they don’t know how to handle “Hidden Disability’s”
We have got a “Benefit Calculator” here on our site which might be useful for you?????
We have also got a number off “Benefit Advisors” which we can call on???????

Hi @clarkjohnson welcome to the community. Reading your post has made me think not a work colleague. She's a survivor too but has come back to work and is not herself anymore. She was always the one who cheered everyone up and now she seems to keep to herself and has anxieties also gets very tired . These are things nobody understands unless you have experienced it. I'm not a cancer survivor but understand and support her due to my disabilities.
Do you belong to any support groups? Having a chat once a week or so with other survivors can help just to de-stress or get information on support you may not know is available to you.
Wish you luck.0 -

Thanks what gets me is to be honest is I've worked over 40 years never been ill before my cancer issue cropped up . I've got family over 70 themselves who also were sick with worry . I feel my working days are over because I'm tired now and at my age I feel I've paid my dues after working hard all my life . There's no human touch with the Dwp about emotional feelings if I had private pension s and could retire financially sound I would and there wouldn't be a problem. So they expect me to work with health problems till I reach retirement age it's a joke1
