Pip

hi there was just wondering if anyone had some info on pip after successful tribunal. I had my benefit stopped due to not being able to attend a medical on the 19/06/18 however the tribunal accepted my appeal on the 26/11/18 due to my significant and enduring health problem. I recently called pip helpline and they said a payment of £12 is due in my account, but my pip is not reinstated yet does anyone know what I should do or what happens next?
many thanks

It can be up to 8 weeks for a tribunal decision to be put in to an award and with the Xmas shutdown you are probably looking at January now

Hi @Colman93 It is certainly true that getting payments of PIP back online can take many weeks. But nevertheless, my advice would be to chase PIP up via the phone regularly. Unfortunately though these things can take some time and there is no real way to speed it up. If the delay becomes excessive (say, more than 2 months) you could make a complaint which you can do over the telephone or by writing a letter to PIP.

It takes about 6-8 weeks to be put back into payment *and get any back payment)

Colman's PIP was stopped for failing to attend an assessment, so the story is different here. There will be no backdated money yet because an assessment is needed. See other thread here. https://community.scope.org.uk/discussion/53356/does-pip-get-reinstated-after-winning-apeal#latest
