Hopeworks Ghana is a non-profit organization that is committed to enhancing the lives of disadvantaged youth through charity, health, disability, skills training and job placement in deprived communities in rural areas in Ghana. We hold a membership status with CSO on SDGs Ghana (working on goals 1, 3 and 8), National Council for Voluntary Organizations UK (NCVO-UK), Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA) and also on the database of World Association of NGOs (WANGO). We are recognized by the Department of Social Welfare as a National NGO with Registration no. D.S.W./7623.

Since 2015, we have impacted many lives in most communities in Ghana, supporting the social and basic needs of more than 2,500 disadvantaged children/families in deprived communities in rural areas.

For example, just this year, we adopted Obom-Sowada, a community regarded as the most deprived communities in the Ga South Municipality in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana in order to effect change in the lives of the residents by providing them with some really basic amenities. A sod cutting ceremony was organized for the construction of 2 toilet facilities in order to discourage and prevent the practice of open defecation due to the lack of public toilet facilities in the existence of the community. The project is expected to commence next year.

In October this year, Hopeworks Ghana in partnership with Gateway North East UK adopted Castle Road Special School (Accra Psychiatric Hospital special school) located in Adabraka, Accra, providing the children with outing uniforms, toiletries, food items, sanitary pads and bubbles as part of the SEND Project, our disability project for deprived special schools in Ghana.
