Hi my name is Chockies

chockieschockies Member Posts: 61 Courageous
Hello all,

I joined yesterday because I was reading the forums and wanted to reply to someone who was going through a similar experience as me with pip and lies.

I have been through a few things in life that meant I was traumatised and had a lot of symptoms, finding life generally traumatic generated complex post traumatic stress disorder which has been tough.

I hope everyone appreciates that whilst I will share some things, I don’t want to go into lots of details, and hope that it won’t come across as being unfriendly... I just need to look after myself in this way.

It’s really helpful to be able to sign up to this supportive forum and I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Chockies.

Thanks @thespiceman for your kind words.

Wow you have been here a while!

It has been helpful for me to read things that others have shared and I hope to do the same though I can find it very difficult to do.

It feels like I’m posting in a place where people understand, I think I was a bit wary at first.

I’m glad the forum is here, it must be helpful to so many people aside myself.

Thanks for posting @thespiceman I really appreciate your kindness.

Hello @chockies Thanks for kind words, what helps is the people like your good self.

Meet every day members of our community. Who have so many problems need to express. Talk and may just need some one to listen.

Happy to do so. Sometimes get new members share very little and can not find the words to say. What is bothering them.

That is fine. Have the patience and time. Then they meet some one similar and can identify the issues they have.  By talking to some one like themselves.

Friendships are formed and then the communication becomes between the members supportive.  Kind and full of comfort words of solace and peace.

Your not alone, always some one here to say how are you?

    How the day is going.?

How can I be a friend?.

    Something we all need sometimes.

Hello @chockies Thank you for reply missed this sorry to bed early so good morning.

Doing OK . Already chilly this morning.  Waiting on line shop today. Best thing ever.  Later on.

Something recommend to all members of community.  Lot easier than you think plus your are saving money.

Joined a scheme pay a fixed amount per month . A delivery saver.  Shop many times as I like.

So by choosing the right selection of items can save and see the cheaper. Instead of going out. Blurry shelves, no noise, no carparking, have no car  another expense taxi,  no people.

All delivered hand picked and great people to deliver.

Hope your doing OK and happy to have met you.

Glad I was of help with passwords. I use the Email a lot easier to access the website.

Of the age am forgetting days and dates. Pin numbers, passwords all on paper secure in a place known to me.

Another one not good with this IT they call it.  Make some instructions to your self, do this recipes. In my folder to do .  How to do things like Washing Machine, Mobile Phone, anything else.  Does help why not. Some of these white goods and other associated TV and other a struggle to work out.

Done this first time had a computer manual rubbish but every time worked out what to do. Got given computer by mental health charity told to get on with it in a polite terms.

So used A4 Paper wrote down simple instructions to do anything. Works for myself.  Add do this with ringing anything taxi what you need to say.  Have a script then if the taxis complain you are wrong about times or even Doctors. Although do book and order meds, appointments on line.

Also DWP the worst of the lot get anxiety sweats and mumble.

Anyway thought and hope that helps.

Take care have lovely day pleasure to talk to you.

    Hi @Richard_Scope

Thank you, it’s lovely to meet you.

    Hi @thespiceman

That’s great to hear your day went well.

I am really glad you were given a computer by a mental health charity, it is fantastic that they did this especially for communicating on the forum and the online shopping.

I use the online shopping too when I need to it has been a godsend when I could not physically go and shop.

I agree with you that it is brilliant and the delivery drivers are great, they always go above and beyond to help with everything and are always respectful.

I don’t have a car either, the delivery is great for this reason too agreed.

It was cold here too this morning and now this evening, I will try to get some sleep soon.

    Ps:

Yes, DWP and the capita atos people are the worst of stinkers right now in my estimation.

I hope you you are feeling ok.

    Take good care,

    Chockies 🍫.
