Hi Julia, @JCCHow are you? Great to have you in the community!1

Hello and Thank you Richard. I am 65 and have eyesight problems following what the specialists think - not sure - was a TIA in 2016 after which time I left work With Social Services, something I miss very much. I don’t go out alone as I have a real fear of falling over things I can’t see properly etc. Associated aches and pains that often accompany getting older.
My eldest daughter has Osteo -arthritis, mania and chronic depression and Fibromyalgia.
My grandson has a diagnosed personality disorder, ADD, ODD plus drug and drink addictions.
His son aged 5 is currently undergoing assessment for Autism which has been more than apparent for quite a while.
My younger daughter has been battling Graves Disease for 18 months and more but hopefully that will be something that eventually will be sorted out. Fingers crossed.
That’s me done. I am hoping to also to be of use as a volunteer on this site and have made a start but think I need a bit of training to be honest.
Best wishes for a brighter 2019 and no snow ??

Hello @JCC Pleased to meet you welcome.
Thank you for joining and sharing. I am one of the team of community champions. On the forum who advise and help new members.
You met my friend @Ami2301 who is also a community champion.
Glad to have you aboard on the team of community champions. When you enrol. Please do not worry about the role. I am here as I am sure the rest of the community champions be happy to help you and assist.
Please feel free to ask any questions or not sure. Ask me or speak to any of the SCOPE team by Email.
One thing I would say ask @Sam_Scope who is community support for standard responses on benefit enquiries and a list of organisations with web addresses.
These help the community champions who often have a lot of benefit enquiries and get other information.
When our community members join sometimes have a condition or an illness. There is often a related organisation set up to give support and information.
Very useful. To have with web addresses and helplines.
I have composed and added to that my own information on lots of other support. Keep it in a folder A4 binder for reference. A suggestion.
Pleasure to meet you.
Take care.
