Cannabis Oil for CP

I have CP due to a Medical negligent home birth in 1965. This resulted in a high court case (Kelly V Bastible and others) I now see a neurologist every 3 months for botox injection into my neck for pain relief. I have also been chosen for inclusion onto cannabis oil trials. That being said does anyone use cannabis oil for their CP and if so DOES IT WORK ? Thank you.

Hi
I have not tried it myself but a friend has tried it she swears by it.
I spoke to her before answering this her advice was go for a decent one the more pure the oil the better.
She does use it for pain relief. She has tried ones from a couple of health shops but didn't rate them she now gets it from Canada apparently the laws are different out there and been no trouble importing.
I don't know if this information is much help.
Good luck in the trials

Hi @JudomandeanI live with quadriplegic CP and I have been using an over the counter cannabis oil, I haven't noticed any benefit at all. That being said, It isn't very strong and I would think the oil on the trial will be far better. Please keep me updated. I would love to hear how you progress.

Hi @Judomandean
I do not have CP and have never used cannabis oil.
But I recall a R5 live interview, discussing the issue, with a dad from NI, about his son.
What I learned the government had given the medical profession, the ability to prescribe high dose oil.
But the regulators, have blocked this.
The guy was very lucid and quoted research across Europe and Canada.
Perhaps you could google about this guy.
From my professional background, it takes considerable emphatic research, to change prescribing habits.
Hope this helps.1 -
Thanks gang for your swift replies and very helpful and informative responses. Of course I shall keep you updated and up to speed with the trials. Dean.2
