Hi, now that the legislation preventing people in receipt of SDP going on UC has come into force does anyone know if there has been any announcement when those on already UC that have lost Severe Disability Premium will get it again and get their back pay as the new rules say they will?

nig_64,
We still don't know when this will happen. There is draft legislation allowing some transitional payments (including back pay) to be made, but it hasn't been approved yet. When it is, the government say they will pay people within 6 months of the legislation being passed.
Unfortunately, because the regulations have to be approved, we can't say when they will come into force. There has to be a Parliamentary debate first. I'm sure that people on the forum will talk about this as soon as we have any news. You could also write to your MP asking them to help by pressing for the debate to happen soon and for the legislation to be improved (at the moment it doesn't give enough money to everyone who has lost out).
