Hi everyone, just found out today by me phoning pip about a change of circumstances I put in for in August 2018. I had my pip assessment in November had decision in January which wasn’t good as they dropped my points. So today I’ve been told I’ve been awarded more points for mobility 10 points from 0. Do I get backdated from August when I informed them of the change or is it from January the date of the decision. Thanks ?

Hi @Harper, it should be backdated to the date you made the change of circumstances. Give them a call to confirm though!0

If the change in the impact happened roundabout when you claimed (Aug) you would get the backdate from Nov. If the change happened in say April but you claimed for it in Aug, the backdate will go from Aug. You have to make it clear to the DWP initially as to when the change happened0
