Hopefully someone can help me with this . My partner applied for pip last September, he was requested to go for an assessment, but due to depression, anxiety etc, we eventually got a home visit . The assessment went really well, or so we thought, and he got the lower payment for mobility, so we decided to go for a mr, as we didn't agree with the report .We have been waiting since the beginning of February, and still nothing . We have rung only to be told that they're still working on January's. My question is, how long roughly this will take, and does the decision maker ring you, or do you just get a letter. Thank you in advance.

Hi @mand72 and welcomeThere is no time limit for MR's to be completed. If you ring from time to time then you may get the result over the phone but very unlikely they will ring you, just a new decision letter.Have you asked for / got a copy of the assessment report ?Be all you can be, make every day count. Hi, thank you . Can you not ask for that after the decision has been made .
-
You can ask for it before the decision is made which will give you an idea of the areas that you need to address

We have that, and it didn't have 1/2 of what was discussed .

Unfortunately only around 18% of MR's change the decision. It is not uncommon for things to be left out of the report. An assessment is for the HCP to form an opinion of your functionality and that will often not be the same as your own opinion. One of the problems with assessments is that their opinion is formed on a very small snap shot of your life. CM's have no medical knowledge so rely heavily on the report to make a decision and unless you have supplied other evidence then the report is normally what the decision is based on.When and if you have to appeal to the tribunal the panel are both impartial and knowledgeable which makes success around 70%Be all you can be, make every day count. Do they ring you with the decision ?
-
DWP will not normally ring you, you can ring to see if a decision has been made but it does not always show on the system or the call operator cannot see it
