PIP is not about what's wrong with you per se but about how a disability affects your day to day functioning. If those conditions impair your ability then you may get PIP; one option is that you could use then the money to help tackle your difficulties eg through private addiction counselling. However, your GP should also be able to put you in touch with such services available on the NHS.
Best wishes.

Hi @ourkid32 and a very warm welcome to the community! How are you doing today? PIP isn't based on any diagnosis, but how it has an impact on your life. It may be worth doing the PIP self- test. However, please bare in mind this is based on your judgements which could be different to the assessors. Also, a lot of the community has been through this process so I'm sure we'd be able to support you if you choose to go ahead with it. More information can be found on the Scope website. Hope this helps

Welcome to the community @ourkid32 how are you doing today? There's some information from the Citizen Advice website, to check if you're eligible for PIP. When you get the forms, if you have any questions, please let us know.

You can ask for a two week extension if you need more time

I wish you the very best of luck with the forms @ourkid32, here is a copy of the PIP descriptors which you may find helpful when filling out the form as it allows you to see what the assessors are using
Please do let us know if there is anything else we can do to help!
