son won pip, but they are saying they need another 4 to 6 weeks is this right?

My son won his apple on the 7th of may for pip. Come Tuesday they have had there month. But they are saying they need another 4 to 6 weeks is this right.

Hi,They have 1 month from the date of the decision to request the statement of reasons. There's no timescales for HMCTS to send this and they can take as long as they want to. Sometimes they request it but it doesn't mean they will appeal the decision. They can't appeal without finding the error in law.Backdated payments can take 8 weeks, sometimes longer.0
