I was taught that additions and subtractions are performed before multiplications and divisions.

10 x (6 + 2)  = 10 x 8 = 80

Nope ...my addition is 10 x6 = 60 + 2 = 62..........i woukd be a very rich man if i added my cash 10 x (6+2) = 80......i like it simple.....dont forget iam a Geordie we like easy things. Maybe this could be a topic for another thread........
