My wife has an appeal in court. No date for a hearing after 6 months. She has submitted all medical evidence. Out of the blue last week she got a letter direct from Dwp - not via the court, stating that dwp were considering their decision and would write to her once that decision was made.
I have heard of people getting a phone call from dwp offering to reinstate claims on the basis that the appeal is discontinued but not people getting a letter. Anyone experienced this please?

No, but as their current court bill is 82M and rising I am sure someone up top is putting the pressure on to try and save some pennies - and if she does not have to go to Court in the end it's a bonus for you both?
It's also possible the legal team have had a word and they realise they wouldn't win.. ? who knows0
