all weather electric wheelchair

Hi I have just come across the American Fold&Go weather proof electric wheelchairs. I contacted them and they ship to UK but don't sell here and that makes maintenance difficult, not to mention the cost! Does anyone know of an electric wheelchair that you can use in the rain available in UK? Also that can handle a range of terrains? I have only been a wheelchair user for a few months and can't bear the thought of being housebound in the wet winter. Thank you

When we were trying to find a wheelchair, we used this site.

Thank you. Thats really kind. I got my current electric wheelchair from ebay but what I am asking is for advice on weather proof models. Are there any electric wheelchairs that can be used in the rain?

Sorry I misunderstood the question. After searching I came upon this website- https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.passionatepeople.invacare.eu.com/wheelchair-rain-covers/amp/

Thank you. I have come across that page too. Seems to be more about covering the user than the chair. Maybe its not a problem but the manufacturers say not suitable to go out in the rain, surely people do. Perhaps they are just covering themselves! I'll keep on plodding with the research. Thanks for your interest and help.

Thank you Chloe, that's very kind. Did I put it in the wrong place? I need to read those guidelines a bit more carefully!

No @TraceyFalcon, not at all! You made your first post on the welcome board which is great!

I just moved it over to the main forum as this will make it easier for people to respond :)
