Hello @April2018mom Sorry to hear that. Did you try the recipe I suggested to you with no chillies and very mild spices.?
I know have to share with you if your not used to spices . These can be strange to the taste. They can and sometimes do arouse the senses.
Often can do and stimulate the whole body. A feeling of euphoria and heightened well being.
The Butter Chicken Curry.
That @66Mustang told you about have a look and see if that is some thing you wish to look at. I do make this if I need some comfort food .
Actually use the slow cooker in the past a lot easier long time slow cook.
BUTTER CHICKEN CURRY
You will need the following does help having these a blender or food processor.
A bowl and a sauté pan or wok. Or a stockpot.
I use Chicken Thighs or Drumsticks for Curries cheap cuts and very tasty long slow cook great to use.
Use Two thighs per person or Three Drumsticks per person.
In a blender or food processor.
Add the following Onions one large or frozen diced up. Garlic Powder, Cumin, Paprika, Garam Masala, Ginger from a jar shredded, Ground Fenugreek one teaspoon of each spice.
Tub of Chicken stock used a small one. Tomato puree a good squirt. Coconut milk half a can. Coriander herb a handful. Lemon Juice use a bottle. A dash blitz up might not use it all.
METHOD
Remove skin from Chicken and slash flesh with a knife add to a bowl add portion of Curry Sauce. Mix . Cover and marinade in the fridge at least a couple of hours.
In a pan add a knob of butter and also oil fry Chicken removed from bowl. Sauté, colour slightly. On a medium heat. Just to seal add to slow cooker.
Cover rest of the Chicken with Curry sauce rest of. On low for four hours might be longer. Add at the end butter another knob of and mix in to sauce.
If need to add water a touch.
Serve with chickpeas or rice. Naan breads useful tip get from supermarkets add to a chopping board.
Season with any spices you wish to. I have sprinkled Garam Masala.
Soak a portion of grease proof paper. Rinse it out crumple and wrap the Naan Breads in it and put it in the oven to warm through.
On a low heat.
Those who want to add chilies can do so.
Hope that helps any one.
Please take care.

I've never really tried a curry coz my dad used to have vindaloo. He would sweat and turn scarlet eating it but it was his favourite, and he had it often. He was out East in the army and suspect he got a taste for it there.
I'll stick to fish and chips so guess I'm not going to curry much favour from the rest of you at this post ;-)2
