Hi lovely people, I would like to ask you has anyone had 2 emgs? And they both came back with different results? One normal and one abnormal? One doctor saying completely different to the next! Both neurologist? One saying stop meditation, the other saying up medication. Who do u believe? G.ps ant got a clue! I know there are some really good doctors out there, but I must say I have not found one yet! What is happening to our nhs?

Hi @nikki1 and welcome to the Community.  It is nice to meet you and thank you for sharing with us.  I am sorry to hear about this and can appreciate that this information must be really confusing.  There may be some other members who can relate to what you are going through.  Maybe try having another word with your GP about things?  I hope you get the answers you are looking for anyway.  Please keep in touch and let us know how you are getting on.  All the best.

welcome to the forum, the NHS is hit and miss, i've already had a great time and been very helped there, but yes at times it does make you wonder, as it's a NHS nurse who first saw me, then a GP, then another Doctor, then consultant, then senior consultant, then finally a professor, only to get a result, which another NHS nurse overturned working for the DWP, so yes it does make you wonder if they really know what in the end there doing, regarding your's,

well, as both can't be right, one must be wrong, so get a 3 opinion is my answer, good luck

Are you under the care of 2 different neurologists?

Hi, I have had 2 EMGs in the past, but they had the same results.ie nothing found.

I can see how confusing this is for you. Do you have a specialist nurse you could ask what`s going on?

GPs usually have little understanding of tests ordered by consultants.

I`ve seen 16 different neurologists and some had conflicting ideas about my case.

Hope you find out what`s happening

Hi, I've had 2 nerve conduction tests done, & think they were about 2 years apart. The first one indicated I had damage to a nerve; the 2nd one....no damage!
