When I moved I was told I couldn't put new address and tenancy down until I had actually moved so I did it day after moving

    Hi,

Yes, you will need to wait until you've moved. If you're privately renting then you will need your tenancy agreement when you report the changes.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

If you haven't yet moved then you don't report the changes until then, this is because the changes haven't yet happened. You've given your notice to end your current tenancy but it's doesn't officially end until you've moved out and started your new one.
