Does anyone have or believe in reiki?
I`ve had it twice and didn't feel any benefit.
But yesterday I had it on my arms and hands.
Not unusual BUT........
on Tuesday a neuro told me my weakening hands is not down to my MS, but with leaning on my arms for years, in a wheelchair.
So I was offered reiki at the hospice I go to.
I told the therapist about my hands.....after the session, he asked me if I`d felt anything.. I said I had felt the warmth in his hands.
WELL......he said he felt a lot from me! He then said I had radiated a reiki like heat and that I could probably heal myself.
WOW! How a bout that then?
Been sewing and typing and they do seem stronger.
Oooooooo

Hello @pollyanna1052 I believe in a lot of alternative therapies treatments .
We in the Western World are beginning to understand certain therapies and alternative treatments used in certain cultures may be helping.
Keen advocate of all Chinese, Indian medicine and therapies.
I would think about if you can Tia Chi slow movements to music.
Look on line something I do every morning helps mental health. Slow simple arms, and legs for ten minutes no sweating no problems.
I do think if helps you go for it.
Remember the mind is a healing tool and be aware of the possibilities of being open minded.
I think if you consider this scenario have a good meal or listen to relaxing music do some meditation something I do a lot.
Endorphins start flowing.
When you enrol in APR programmes and anything around addiction, mindset and strength courage is important.
Urges, desires and thoughts of relapse happen a lot cross your mind so by accessing alternative therapies so many.
I went to the swimming baths did exercise in the pool standing up using my arms and legs to work out.
With others. Water helps support muscles and frame, bones.
Have a look at local well being or resource centres speak to your carer I would have thought be helpful accessing looking at lifestyle courses.
Health, wellbeing may I add many are free.
Run by Community Health every thing health diet, nutrition.
To meditation, aromatherapy a great one to look at.
Used scent oils from herbs calming.
I also used these in baths and massages. Just something to think about.
Learn a lot to dealing with every day health and situations.
Please any questions ask me.
Please take care.

Hi
Not reiki but I own a business designing and making healing jewellery. After studying gems for decades and working in the jewellery trade I learnt of the vibrations and frequency of gemstones and crystals, and they work. As a country I feel we are becoming more open minded about these things which have been used by others for centuries.0 -
