Fit note query

Hello and I hope we are all fit and well and keeping ourselves safe at this difficult time. I was wondering whether someone could help me with an enquiry. I have a friend who is on UC and their fit note has run out today. They are unable to get in to see their Dr, understandably and are worried about not sending in their fit note. I have advised them to send a message on their journal and I would expected this will be excused/suspended or extended at this time. Any advice? Thank you.

    HI and welcome,

Yes, a note on their journal will help. I would also suggest they ring their GP to ask if a fit note can be sent to them in the post. GP surgeries are still open for phone appointments and prescriptions etc.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
