Hi I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and arthritis. I am having problems at work and had another disciplinary. I am appealing as I am part of a union. Need advice on how to get my manager to understand all the symptoms of FMS and how they cross over but all under same condition and shouldn't be discriminated against.

Give her some factsheets?
Could you move jobs? -
@helenbrownlee do you have an occupational health department? If so you should request an assessment with them and they should be able to assist.

Hi @helenbrownlee Welcome to the community
As suggested above referral to a OH is always a good start as they will do an assessment and make recommendations on reasonable adjustments you and your employer could consider , I suggest you speak to your manager or the HR department to see if this is possible
The other is that you could provide your employer with a fit note from your GP stating under what conditions you are fit for work and any duties you are not able to do.
Another option is to request reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act a possible adjustment could be that absences are dis regarded if for a reason due to your disability.
There is a lot of information on here relating to reasonable adjustments
Any further help just ask -
Hi @helenbrownlee, I'm so sorry to hear you haven't been treated well. You deserve the support to work if you choose to do so.
I hope your union is able to support you through this. Here is some information that might help:- Reasonable Adjustment
- Access to Work grant scheme
- Flexible working
- Asking for adjustments when you become disabled
- If your employer rejects adjustments
