Hi,For help with rent in advance if this is needed and you're already claiming either housing benefit or the housing element of Universal Credit you can apply for a discretionary housing payment. All local councils have their own budget for this but you can certainly try. See link. https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/benefits/discretionary_housing_payments_dhpOther than that, if you live in England, there's no help that i know of. At least all the times i've moved house there was no help and the last time i moved was just 9 months ago.If you've been claiming certain means tested benefits for at least 6 months there's either a budgeting loan or a budgeting advance (if you claim UC) this needs to be repaid back from future benefit payments. The amount you can borrow depends on circumstances. https://www.gov.uk/budgeting-help-benefits/eligibilityHope this helps. Good luck with the move.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
