Hin@thai2005 thanks Kath, yeah I moved just over a month ago, I live in Glasgow I applied to the Scottish Welfare Discretionary Fund, for help they awarded me £180 to help with Removels, I was so grateful, I hope you to can get some help, take care ?

Hi,

For help with rent in advance if this is needed and you're already claiming either housing benefit or the housing element of Universal Credit you can apply for a discretionary housing payment. Other than that, if you live in England, there's no help that i know of. At least all the times i've moved house there was no help and the last time i moved was just 9 months ago.

If you've been claiming certain means tested benefits for at least 6 months there's either a budgeting loan or a budgeting advance (if you claim UC) this needs to be repaid back from future benefit payments.
