Hello @sophie99
I'm sorry you are struggling with getting help to find a house. The council have a responsibility to support you. Do they know about your situation and your sons impairment?
In the meantime, I've moved this post to our Housing discussion board so it's best placed to get other members help. I have everything crossed that you find a house soon.

Hello, yes they are fully aware as I'm with the housing manager and they are useless! I've been waiting over a year it's becoming a drain on both mine and my sons mental health...
Thank you! I appreciate it

I can imagine this has been really stressful for you all!
Shelter are able to offer housing advice which might be helpful. Scope also have advice around finding suitable housing which has a range of information.
If this doesn't help then please do let us know and we'll see what else we can do to help.0 -

Thank you for all your comments! I've tried to get in touch with shelter but are saying they only deal with homelessness?0

Hi @sophie99. I see you have already contacted shelter, however I did find this information on their website about overcrowding. There's information about tenancy transfer here and tenancy exchange here.
I hope this is helpful.
