Hi all, I wondered if anyone could help me I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with my 2 year old son who has cerebral palsy and 2 type of brain haemorrhage and was in need of a 2/3 bedroom house as also expecting my second baby we have been neglected by the council and tried private too but all viewing unsuccessful I've tried everything for housing but its become a real struggle and help on how I can push for a house? Thank you sophie.

I'm sorry you are struggling with getting help to find a house. The council have a responsibility to support you. Do they know about your situation and your sons impairment?
In the meantime, I've moved this post to our Housing discussion board so it's best placed to get other members help. I have everything crossed that you find a house soon.

Hello, yes they are fully aware as I'm with the housing manager and they are useless! I've been waiting over a year it's becoming a drain on both mine and my sons mental health...

I can imagine this has been really stressful for you all!
Shelter are able to offer housing advice which might be helpful. Scope also have advice around finding suitable housing which has a range of information.
