Have you planned how you're going to redecorate it @leeCal?

Why has management put it on hold @leeCal

I like designing a new look decor my house is new but can now decorate so slowly getting it done room by room as I have to pay someone to do it

That’s a good idea @Tori_Scope, I could perhaps calculate how much paint and what sort I’d need etc.

One thing i do I do need to know is what is the best semi gloss paint to buy which doesn’t smell to strongly? I think it’s all latex based nowadays so doesn’t smell too bad but doesn’t look great either. So that needs checking somehow, perhaps someone here will know. It’s an eggshell type finish I’ll be looking for in white.

    Exactly @leeCal

I have no idea about paint I'm afraid. The most painting I've ever done is patching up peeling paint in my old student houses so we got our deposit back :D

I don’t really know @janer1967, it’s a mystery to me, I think it’s something to do with her being here when I repaint so she can ensure everything is covered up properly.

Well, that sounds silly and I’ve said as much but she’s adamant. So I assume it has to wait for the next school holiday, summer would’ve been ok but it was too hot to work quite often.

So, mysteriously my cold water storage tank is refusing to refill meaning we have no hot or cold water upstairs! I think it may be a blocked ball valve ?

not something i want to do though though I expect it’s simple enough, so I must bite the bullet and call in a plumber...kerching!???

@Cher_Scope it’s probably around £80 or so, I’m expecting. Still waiting for the expert to arrive actually ?.

So all is well now, the plumber came, saw and fixed the problem with a new ball valve in approx half an hour, £65.

I used to tell my boys to learn plumbing but they wouldn’t have it.

@leeCal Ohh, glad it's all sorted and wasn't too expensive.  Aye, you could have done with a plumber in the family  :D
