Feeling so anxious, I had my assessment on the 25/11/20..in all fairness the lady I spoke to was actually so understanding and sympathetic. My experience was all in all a good one..I was on the call for 25 minutes I’m not sure if that was good or bad? She ended the call with “you’ve done really well today, get some rest!” I just wondered how quick decisions are right now? I’m in Wales. I feel sick on the daily right now waiting to find out the outcome..this would make such a difference to my life with my agrophobia and anxiety. Thanks in advance guys xx

Hello @Leeseeloo and welcome to our community.

Was your assessment for a benefit such as PIP? It sounds like you did well but I understand the wait can be nerve-wracking.  If you need to appeal against the outcome be sure to let our community know so we can offer support  :)

Hi I presume you mean PIP assessment I'm not sure about wales but in England you can request copy of your report approx 7 says after assessment.  This isnt the decision but shows the recommendation of the assessor . They normally go with the report but not always

It can take 8 weeks or longer for a decision but again some are quicker all depends on workload in your area

Fingers crossed for you please keep us updated

Welcome to the community @Leeseeloo :) I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry about the outcome too much while you're waiting. Are you able to do anything today to distract yourself?

Hi @Leeseeloo - & welcome to the community from me too. Quite a few of us have been in your position, so do understand. As advised, you can ring the DWP & ask for a copy of your assessment report about a week after your assessment. The length of a telephone assessment can vary, & there's nothing really to read in a call being 25mins, other than the assessor by then probably had all the info they needed.
Do please let us know how you get on, & try to distract yourself in the meanwhile. :)
