Hi i have a friend who had intermediate care lives in a hostel his support worker request a pip form via letter. His illness leg ulcer copd requires oxygen and dvt will he het pip he think pip will deduct his esa. Any advice will he have assessment

Also he lives in temporary accommodate and requested form to be posted to his drug worker0

Hi @berry123 - PIP is about functional problems you have with certain activities of daily living &/mobility; it's not based on any diagnoses. Therefore it will depend on how his disabilities impact on these.PIP is not means based, & will not affect his ESA. Most people do have an assessment, currently done by phone. Hope this helps your friend.0

He is fully bed ridden he only transfer from.camode to bed0

He had none they locating his next of kin I hope they find his mum she has the right no know o knew her name and area she lived in0

It was hard for few days bless carl he used to ring me Everyday 3 or 4 times but I'm getting use to it was hard for few days. Tha k you so much0

I have loads of friends made friends via him and I am a mother of 3 beautiful kids.0

I'm glad you have loads of friends, and friends that will be able to understand what you're going through as they knew him too @berry123. I'm sure your kids must help you to get through the hard times too. Are you able to keep in touch with your friends okay during lockdowns?0

Yes I do but I feel.alot better since yesterday and just concentrating on my pip assessment waiting appointment1
