I bought something and the delivery company are saying they will deliver today and will tell me when by 11am.

    It's now 2pm

    I'm guessing I won't get it today :(

That's frustrating & annoying, @66mustang. I was expecting a delivery on Monday, I forgot it was a bank holiday. 🤪 It did arrive yesterday though. 😎

I just received a few pounds refund on my order that arrived late.

I didn't ask for it so thought it was a good gesture on their part.

Helpful at the moment as well.

@WelshBlue, nothing wrong with that, I still talk in old money, weights, and distance, none of this new fangled stuff for me!

Me too mate.  Still feet and inches when I'm making stuff out of wood or measuring up.  Kilos are for bananas not for weighing yourself.

My daughter and her boyfriend cycle in Kilometres ... I like to tell them it's only because it seems longer  :)

Some Kindle books, Detective Jack Dawes, actually two lots that make a series of ten. Not read anything by the author before, but the reviews aren't bad & they were cheap. :D

I think I will be needing a new laptop soon. My current one is 3.5 years old which is ancient when it comes to technology. It is a MacBook Air, and it is struggling to do what I like to use it for these days.

Trying to decide between, when they come out, the latest MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. The Pro is around twice as expensive but around three times as powerful.

My current laptop has the a 4-core Intel i5 processor and integrated GPU. The new MacBook Air should have a 8 core processor and 10 core GPU. The Pro laptop is said to have a 16 core processor and 40 core GPU which is said to be faster than most *mobile* graphics cards.

The MacBook Air will be a big step up from my current machine so I am tempted to go with that. You can send Apple products back within 14 days for any reason, or indeed no reason, so I was thinking I could have a test run with the Air and if it struggles with my "workload" then send it back.

    Any ideas???

@66. Go for it, especially if your a power user. I have a HP with I3 processor running at 1.6GHZ. It's damn old. But not bad for....£80!!!

@Kalps thanks :) I don't think I would be considered a power user but my current machine really struggles with certain applications. If I have a game running in the background and switch to Scope for example...it takes 30 seconds to load up a page. If the game is not running it is instantaneous.
