Skin condition distress

I didn't know what to put this down in. Had a very stressful appointment with dermatologist.

I wish to speak to someone who similarly gas had a very bad experience with doctors, with something where errors were obviously made and know the psychological distress that can cause. I am looking for people who can understand this and support me.

Thank you

    Hi @harry01

I've sent you an email if you want to give that a read and get back to me.  How are you feeling now?

A bit better. But didn't understand point of dermatologist appointment if they weren't going to take skin samples. It's some species of bacteria/fungus living on the skin. I can see yellow because I have good eyesight. They haven't treated this thing for years.

I also have nerve endings on my skin. They have been appalling and since I got this from a dodgy cosmetic product on Amazon in 2014 they have done absolutely nothing to help or reassure me.

Got no feedback. Nothing. All I can say is to never buy anything of Amazon marketplace. Though I didn't realise it took me there. Do that and at least that part of your life wouldn't be dependent on incompetent doctors solving.

It's something that can affect anyone. So if they're hopeless with me then they're hopeless with many more people.

    Hi @harry01

how long have you been with your dermatologist?  Have you requested a new specialist for your condition?

It was one appointment. I had a separate skin sample from my surgery. But I thought that they would actually try and diagnose and treat something. To be honest it's odd that it hasn't been dealt with in primary care. I'm waiting for the skin culture results.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Do you know when you might get those results @harry01?

They said it takes 1 month for the results of a skin culture so it should be ready about now. I contacted my practice to ask them and they rejected my referral but said they'd 'discuss it in their meeting'. I'm hoping the results will force an apology but I imagine as usual they will take no accountability because they couldn't possibly making an error.
