I'm sorry that you didn't get much help from CAMHS @gemma31. Is he at school? Does he have an EHCP?
Scope run a fantastic Parents Connect service, which you might like to check out to get some advice and support from people who understand what you're going through. Do you mind me asking when your son was diagnosed with autism?
You might also like to get in touch with the National Autistic Society, who run a variety of services. For example, they have a Parent to Parent Emotional Support Helpline.

Does he have a CCA (Child Care Attendant) at school? The rules surrounding that may have changed since I was in Juniors and Secondary, but I remember I did, and it wasn't 1 to 1 care either, the lady I had was in charge of about 2 or 3 other kids at the same time.
