PIP ongoing award, but I received a review letter

Hi everyone, my first time posting. 

I received an ongoing award for PIP in  OCT 2018. 

I have just received a review letter and form. Is this normal on an ongoing award? The letter says the review is before my award ends??? But it’s an ongoing award?? I’m just confused. Any clarification is gratefully received. Thank you

It may be worth ringing PIP just to check that the form has not been issued in error. Not likely but it can happen.

Definitely ring them.

It could be that you were given an ongoing award but the case manager then put the wrong dates on the system at the time, the system then triggering a system generated (and premature) award review.

What I find confusing is the award says it’s an on going award but in this review letter it’s saying they need to review before my award ends? So yes I will phone and ask them to check and clarify. Thank you all once again for your advice.

That’s because an ongoing award is never longer than 10 years. 

Yes but I have only had the award two years.
