    My “grumpy” elderly relative that causes a lot of stress has decided to sell her house 75 miles away and move to our town.

    This should be really bad news HOWEVER she is a lot more happy and bubbly with the prospect of living close by to us, as we can help her out with things. One of the reasons for her grumpiness was that she felt isolated and now there is the potential of ending the isolation she is a lot happier, so long may that continue.

    Also it means she is unlikely to need to sleep round our house anymore as she will have a house of her own nearby. She will just pop round, more often but for less time each time, maybe half a day. This is ideal as they get grumpy after a couple of days so half days should be fine as they are actually good company when they are on good form.

    All in all not too bad news. :)

    @SueHeath yes definitely :)

    Being selfish it is also useful for us because when she needed help in the past we would have to drive 150 miles (there and back). This way, if she needs something doing it will just be a 15 min walk or short drive.

    @Teddybear12 thanks, yes fingers crossed. I’m told by people with experience of the same thing that it could go one of two ways - either she will become really dependant on us, or she will find a new spark to life and really enjoy herself. Hopefully it’s the latter.

    That sounds ideal @66Mustang.
    Grandson came over and we went to the park, bought 2kg pack red  apples from  home bargains s a pound, which  is a good deal.
    Treated my self to a new black cardi with a zip up the front

    Do they at least refund the delivery charge when they postpone your delivery?

    I have had deliveries postponed and that was the case but never used an online supermarket so don't know what their procedure is.

    Yes I'm well thanks. I'm going to visit my brother this evening who is getting married later this year. We are getting together with the other groomsman to plan a stag do, so in the back of my mind I'm thinking of ideas :)

    Wow that exciting year for you how lovely - you will have to tell us, when the time comes what you all get up to.
    What kind of things are you looking at doing for the stag.

    Yes I'm sure I will @SueHeath, I am the best man so I have a short speech to write too :D  I've jotted down loads of things so far such as paintballing, escape rooms and something called bubble football which just looks mad :D

    I had a Google of what we could do in Yorkshire, our area, and got a few ideas from that too.
