Hi everyone
I hope you are all having nice days except @Sandy_123 going to hospital but hopefully the rest of your day is OK.
I got a new jumper which arrived today and I really like it
It should have been £55 which I would never spend on a jumper, but it was reduced to £35 and I had a £18 voucher so it cost me £170 -

Hi all just bits and pieces for me today - booked a visit for today to see father in law who's on a special ward in a hospital for his dementia such a shame its an awful thing to have - he's been in this hospital since Feb we did get him into a nursing home, but he only lasted 8hrs before they called police and ambulance as he keeps trying to escape and gets very aggressive they call it challenging behavour it's such a shame because he is now on a waiting list to go into a special unit, which can be any were in the country it already takes us 45mins in the car to were he is now.
Such an awful thing dementia is x0 -
@SueHeath sorry to hear about the situation. I have had family members with dementia who are now, in my opinion fortunately/mercifully, no longer with us. They had very similar behaviours to what you described. I agree that dementia is an awful disease.1

All's good in my part of the world @Alex_Scope poor marybottomley seems to be struggling a little bless x0
-
I'm glad to hear you're well @SueHeath and yes it's a difficult time with her husband in hospital at the moment. Hopefully the community can help in a small way1
-
Hope all's good in your part of the world as well @Alex_Scope
Got son and grandson for the day, we want to try and do something but as the weather is rubbish so looking into inside things, which always cost's more money.0 -
It is thanks @SueHeath and I may be biased as I used to work in heritage, so I could suggest a museum visit, they often have a lot going on during half term, and many are free entry.
What sorts of things is your grandson into? I guess that depends on his age though0 -
Ha ha my grandson is 8 and he is into any thing that involves money at the moment, but we try and teach him that he can not have every thing he see's ha ha.
Yep we have some great museums were i live the only trouble with that is the schools take the children there all the time as part of their term time projects. Hopefully i will get a light bulb idea when i am in the shower ha ha
I had better start getting ready -have a good day.0 -
Ahh yes, that makes sense! Fingers crossed, I'm sure you'll find something fab to do together
Enjoy your day!0 -
Good morning everyone
I'm late today as we have my relative here looking at houses so they needed to use the bathroom etc. early on so I thought I would stay out of the way.
@SueHeath why not teach him to be an accountant? I remember a joke from Tim Vine - my nephew wants to be an accountant when he grows up so I bought him a big pile of receipts and said "don't worry if you don't like them, I kept the presents"

Morning all, I've got grandkids over later, so lots of art work ready as weather hit and miss with rain. Hope you all have a good one
Just to have a rant, last month I had to chase the window cleaner up, he sarcastically said while cleaning windows, I'm here don't worry, me any way I've left it this month, on purpose, now its 1st tomorrow and no sign of him. I've noticed cobwebs on window out side upstairs. I won't get in touch, if he don't come back that's his problem. I might just get a long pole.
