Good morning @Karen7788. How are you today?0
-
Not too bad thank you @L_Volunteer, got back from holiday yesterday, still not unpacked yet. Going to do Mum’s shopping today. Hope you are okay.0
-
Glad you are not doing too bad @Karen7788. How was your holiday?
Good luck with unpacking and your mum's shopping. I am good thank you0 -
We had a lovely time @L_Volunteer, beach cottage in West Cumbria, the dogs loved it. The ending was sad due to our Queen passing. It’s my Mum’s 90th birthday on the day of the funeral, we have arranged a lovely celebration for her but I’m glad we’re having it the following weekend and not on her actual birthday.Back in work tomorrow.0

Afternoon all, glad your moms out of hospital @janer1967. I'm watching the Queen on her final journey through Scotland0

I don't want to share any details in case family members read this forum but the birthday meal I went to yesterday was an absolute disaster!!!! To sum it up it involved excessive alcohol and family tensions.
I know some wanted to know what I ate...I had scallops to start, then sea bass, then a cheese board. All was very nice food which was positive but the atmosphere wasn't. I just tried not to get involved and to enjoy the food in my own little bubble!0 -
You’re best keeping in your own bubble @66Mustang, life is too short. Alcohol in a situation like that is just adding fuel to the fire.Glad you enjoyed the food though.
I’m watching it too @Sandy_123, not even got dressed yet, will be going food shopping for Mum shortly.0 -
So sorry @66Mustang although I’m glad to hear you given it a go. I feel the same about when I go for big family meals too.
Food sounds delicious too!

SueHeath said:Hi @66Mustang it was good and very unexpected - have you had your meal yet ? xx
Did you plan to have a quite day @elahrairah ?
most of my days are quiet these days, unless the dogs decide to get their drama on! are you having a quieter one today?

@66Mustang at least you had a good meal.
@Karen7788 I'm not dressed either. I'll be watching this all day. Got coffee and fig rolls lol. But I'm doing sketching too0 -
@Karen7788 @bg844 @Teddybear12 @Sandy_123
Thank you all for the kind and supportive words.
Hopefully today will just be a chill out day. I've walked the dog and gone for a drive, 2 of my favourite things, which was nice.
We are meant to be having a family barbecue today but I'm not sure whether that will go ahead after yesterday so let's see what happens.
I hope everyone else's having a nice Sunday0
