Good afternoon all, hope you enjoy your time out @Sandy_123 and glad about your tablets, our chemist is an independent.
Your not being lazy at all @Ada.
Just found out middle son got covid - he's the first one of my lads and their family's to catch it, we have been so lucky, it's funny though because his wife and my youngest grandson both had a bad cold two weeks ago and my daughter in law was negative but son suddenly really ill last night and shown positive today. At the moment the girls have been fine (3 grand children) x

Oh no @sueheath my sons ok now and I didn't get it, hope its same your end.
Bought some thermol sox as my feet are like ice cubes, even under a quilt and blanket they don't warm up. So hoping this helps.
I'm off to a fire work display later with son and grandkids at my local. Got hot dogs for when we get back.

I'm also sorry to hear that you're having a rubbish day @Ada I'm not a fan of all the fireworks either!

Coping with your husband's drinking sounds really difficult, is he getting much support for it from other organisations?

AL-Anon UK is a good place to visit if you need to talk about it yourself or find support, as the team there will be trained to help. I hope you're feeling a little better soon :)

That must be hard @Ada I'm sorry. If you would like some help of your own, there's the link I've posted about, plus lots of other organisations you can reach out to.

You're never alone, there's always someone to talk to- and there's always the community here, as you know!

What's everyone's plans for the evening? I'll be staying inside myself, snuggled up on the sofa and catching up on some Bake Off I think :)

We've had fireworks going off since half four, the dog is terrified and I'm shattered.

No point going to bed though,it would be like trying to sleep on a battlefield at the moment.

Well fire works display didn't go as planned. Venue put no safety measures in place. They were letting fire works off about 5ft away from the crowd, less then that. Of course a fire work came into the crowd, very close to me also. Alot of us screaming and alot of traumatised children. Myself and a few others decided to leave after that. The venue just carried on lighting fire works without a care. Health and safety did not exist. Once I discover what department in council to email, I will be sending one off with video evidence of lack of safety, they supply the licence also.

Hope everyone and all the animals survived Bonfire night, lots of family's had fire works round by us last night, never had so many, think it was because the council had cancelled the normal one x

    Morning all.

Fireworks stopped just before 11 o'clock here @Ada ,although my partner said he could see them going off on the other side of town well after midnight.
