Morning all I hope yous are all good today.Enjoy whatever yous have planned.
@Sandy_123
Sorry to read about your grandson I hope they get to the bottom of it.My granddaughter Rosie had the same problem for about 2 years back and forth to A&E nothing wrong they kept saying. My daughter pushed for bloods and a scan it turned out was nothing sinister, she would hold her poo in as was scared to go, the consultant sd it’s quite common. She’s fine now.❤️0 -
I had a Meccles Diverticulum (spelling may be wrong) taken out when I was 3. I had severe stomach pains and had to go into hospital in an ambulance I believe, can’t really remember.
All I remember is being asked if I wanted a bubblegum or strawberry drink and I picked strawberry, which knocked me out.. must have been the anaesthetic. Apparently the Meccles diverticulitis thing is extremely rare for a 3 year old!!!!
Just to clarify for the moderators or people who are too trigger happy with the report button — I’m not trying to give medical advice I am just making conversation sharing my experience.

Haha @66Mustang that last comment made me laugh. They refused a scan. Glad your granddaughter is OK now @Lou670
-
Thanks Sandy, I’m sorry they refused a scan for your grandson but honestly it took my daughter a lot off back and forth to doctors and hospitals until eventually they done blood tests then a scan.0

Its been 9 years of back n forth to Dr with no referrals. I'm just waiting to hear how he is today he was off his food yesterday with a huge tummy. And loads of meds taken for a week like 6 sachets a day.
Anyway will see how he goes0 -
Good luck Sandy0

They are good thanks @Sandy_123 much better now, should be home next week.0
-
I bet they can't wait to get out, have they sorted out the problem0
-
@Sandy_123 I could never drink them without crying in disgust! He's stronger than I am!0
-
@Sandy_123 yeah it's sorted for the short term and we have some tablets to keep it under control long term.
They need a few more steroid drips, maybe 7 more which will take a couple of days as it's 4 a day max.
Should be out Tuesday or Wednesday we hope. Maybe Monday if really lucky.
Thanks for asking0 -
@66Mustang That's great to hear, hopefully they will be back in their own bed soon1
-
Gosh @66Mustang it's no fun is it being unwell.

What a subject indeed @Sandy_123,we were obsessed with our son's bowel movements when he was a toddler;he'd sometimes refuse to go for weeks at a time.
I'm glad your grandson's 'been' though.0 -
