Welcome back Jimm0

Thank you @66Mustang
How's the new car?
I'm only in 4 days a week but it is surprising how much talking gets done when you're away for a few days. While you're a part of the conversation you don't notice how much it moves I think.0 -
I notice the same @Jimm_Scope, I often just skip to the end of a thread if I missed the last few pages so I probably end up missing stuff but I guess you have to read everything being an admin.
The car is brilliant, thanks, I am really enjoying driving it, it drives absolutely beautifully. It's hard to explain to someone if they don't drive but everything just works with no play in all the components, everything perfectly tight, if you have ever used a nice mechanical keyboard think of it like that perhaps.
I am going to go for a drive in it shortly, I really want to park up somewhere nice and get some good pictures.0 -
Haha @66Mustang welcome back @Jimm_Scope0

@Jimm_Scope
If you accept the limitations that come with a small car, obviously no good if you have a family or are a wheelchair user, but they are perfect for everything else from nipping into town to doing a 400 mile motorway journey in comfort
I don't think she would be disappointed with a Mini
They do lots of different ones, even an electric one if that is something that is of interest/concern

Neither of us need wheelchairs (yet) and there's only ever the 2 of us... and our cat. Being American she loves road trips, though that's in the States. She's never tried a road trip in the UK before. We are leaning electric, since we'd 99% of the time be using it around town or to get to the nearest city which is only 20 miles away. Further away we can always use the train.0

Oh that is cool, but she must have fallen over when she saw the price of petrol here compared to the US. I had an electric one when mine was in for servicing and it is really very good. I couldn't fault it except for the range which is around 80-100 miles but it sounds like that wouldn't be an issue in your case.0
-
Oh, I forgot, there is a new electric Mini coming out next year I believe and that has a much better range.0
-
Hi @66Mustang enjoy your drive today it's nice when you get a new car and your getting to know it hope you have a good day.0
-
Just been for a nice drive, didn't get any pics of the car as couldn't find anywhere to stop sadly but had good fun, I am up to 210 miles on the car now!

@C_J Hope you're doing well!
I've not had great news today. My ADHD meds are in shortage nation-wide. I take 60mg but it's out so my GP prescribed by 2 lots of 30mg. The Pharmacy got back to me today and managed to get... nineteen 30mg tablets. Not even 10 days on my recommended dose and the shortage will possibly last well into November.
Hopefully I can try to find more at another pharmacy but of the 4 I've tried in my area the only one who had any were the ones who gave me the nineteen half-doses.0 -
@Jimm_Scope yeah the acceleration of electric cars from a standstill is insane - if you see a small gap in traffic, just put your foot down and whoosh you are in
The electric Mini is actually faster than mine from 0-30mph (but mine is faster from 30-60mph, like you say because the revs are already up and running by that point)

Sorry to hear of the med issues. I hope you are able to find some.
Not sure how to phrase this without sounding like I am giving medical advice. But I had a similar issue once and took a half dose while there was a shortage, it was not ideal for me but better (and safer) than having a full dose and then none at all. Just to explicitly reiterate though for the purpose of the forum rules I am not recommending that you do this!0 -
It's still raining here,we haven't left the house today.0
-
@66Mustang glad you had a good drive out today.
@Jimm_Scope I'm not to bad thank you. I hope you get your meds sorted soon.
I drove to my parents spent the day with my mum and dad it's not been a bad day managed to visit a couple of charity shops it was nice to get out for a bit.
Hope everyone one else had a good day0 -
@66Mustang I appreciate the advice. That is essentially what I am trying to do. It's thankfully not a med I need to take everyday. Just every day that I want to be productive
The issue with the 30mg is it's already a half-dose for me. I know it has a positive effect as I took it during titration, but I don't think I can half it again down to 15mg.
I'll just have to be picking and choosing some unproductive days this month I think.
Now, do I pick work days or notthat was a joke

Glad you had a nice day @C_J! I haven't seen my parents for a bit I should really see what they're up to. We chat often but don't meet up as often as I'd like.
See you all tomorrow!0 -
