-

@Teigr
I just got home and the wind was getting bad.@Sandy_123
Hi I hope your keeping well, yes I imagine that’ll be the last cut for the year.
The podiatrist fitted my shoes with insoles and taped 2 off my toes together to trying take the pressure off them.
She sd I could get my toes operated on to straighten them but sd I have enough going on with waiting on my knee getting done. So sd I can look at that further down the rd. 🤦♀️0 -
Gosh @Lou67 hopefully won't be long before your knee gets done. Gardener cancelled due to rain sirprise sirprise. Going to try tomorrow.
I've chased both ancestors on both sides to Scotland, Aberdeen and Ayrshire, to 16th. Plus Canada and USA, it appears a cousin 5 times removed composed the American national anthem song they all sing today to their flag.3 -
That's so interesting @Sandy_123. What a claim to fame! I've traced mine back to the 1500s on one side, the other has too many common names to get anywhere easily. My ancestors all seem to make saddles or be labourers!
Hope those changes from your podiatrist help you out @Lou670 -
Its intresting @Rosie_Scope, I do see same names popping up down the lines but different dates etc. A cousin 8 times removed worked with George Washington also a lawyer and judge. They named a street after him when he died and he's on Wikipedia0

I went into family history hoping to find something interesting and impressive like what @Sandy_123 found but found much the same as you @Rosie_Scope, all farm labourers and miners. I decided that I was looking for the wrong thing by hoping for something impressive and that by simply taking an interest in their "normal" lives I was honouring my ancestors.0

@Sandy_123
Thanks Sandy well my pre-op is on Monday coming so hopefully not to long now.Oh that sounds really interesting I would really like to give that a go, where did you start Sandy.
@Rosie_Scope
Thank you I have had to remove the tape from my toes already, the podiatrist sd it might start to hurt and get tight which is what happened.
I hope your having a lovely day.
