Hi all
I am having my oxford vaccine today and a bit concerned as a few people I know that have had it have been quite poorly with flu like symptoms afterwards . However others have been ok
Anyone here that has had it what was your experience
Dont want to be laid up poorly afterwards but still will be having it regardless
As they say no pain no gain

I had the Oxford vaccine, at first it was just my arm really aching. By the evening i did feel very cold and couldn't get warm, however it was freezing that day. I felt under the weather for a couple of days but felt much brighter on the third day. But the horrible ache in my arm lasted 6 days. At points, it was too painful to move.
I had it in my right arm, which is my most used arm so I did struggle to do anything. So i will be having the next dose in my left arm as i don't want to make the same mistake twice.
Hope it goes OK

I had it on Monday, no after effects at all, it seems to affect people in a lot of different ways.0

Not sure which one I’ll be getting, but literally just had them on the telephone booking me in, I get my vaccine on Monday and second dose on 10th May.I’m in group 6, and thought they hadn’t reached that group yet, she said on the phone that they are quite far ahead in this area, so goes to show how each area can be different.0

I'm in group 6 too and had mine
Was also really pleased they came out to my house
It was my surgery that rang me, they booked me in for the first and second dose at the same time, although I know that can change anytime with the amount things change, having it done at a near by medical centre.1 -
Just had mine at lunchtime. It was great, they have it set up like a military operation, security at various points, started at the entrance, give my name, directed to registration room, then to vaccine room, had to then go wait in waiting room and finally allowed to be escorted out the back of the building.1

I am a little worried as on another forum specifically for Diabetes, people have been reporting they had high blood sugar levels for a few days. But I'll cope if that happens.1 -
It didnt affect my sugar levels0

Well the good news is my blood sugars are fine, however I’m unwell today, it sounds like the side effects mentioned.Very sore arm, feel generally under the weather, weak, shivering, lack of appetite. Just my luck!0
