I've got batter in fridge like the recipe said, cup of flour, 4 eggs and milk. Going to cook sausages on stove in a crock pot and then get it smoking and add batter. Fingers crossed3

SueHeath said:One of my son's have been trying some of the Hello fresh recipes @WelshBlue they got some vouchers for money off, they find them very good, i've seen the gousto advertised, sounds like a great idea and give some nice inspiration for a change, i've pinched a couple of their recipe cards see if i can play about and find quantities of spicies etc - your choices sound nice x
When I've a minute I'll post some pics of the recipe cards.
TBH the peanut and chicken stew could have done with just using half the cayenne pepper ... my wife was drinking milk halfway through
I used to enjoy cooking but got out of the swing of it when I lost my grip and prep got a bit dicey ...
Tonight it's chucked together chicken pasta bake we've concocted using philadelphia cream cheese1 -
Turned put great @janer1967 was worried because the oven fan came on half way but turned out OK, did my own gravy too. I'm stuffed now tho1
-
Yep can understand that @WelshBlue, i'm okay for the recipe cards thanks for the offer, but others may like to see them.
Part of my trade was in the catering industry i also taught students and i know the problems that some students can come across.
With the gousto and hello fresh the spices etc come already weighed etc so i like to play at trying to see what the qauntities are for our tastes. I still enjoy cooking as well, when i can anyway and sometimes our own concoctions are the best. x0 -
Glad it worked out @Sandy_123 I sometimes put herbs like sage and finely chopped onions in tye batter mix to give different taste1
-
Oh that sounds nice Jane0
-
I had scrambled egg on toast last nite0
