    Hi there

You have posted lots already so you know how to post
When you click new discussion it asks you which category you want to post in and you select from the drop down options

At the bottom of the page it gives you quick links and mist recent posts are in the recent discussion section

Or you can select all groups for list

The badges are awarded when you reach certain milestones like number of posts, number of likes, tagging people , adding photo etc

    Hope this helps a bit

Hi @Queenofdisabilities, welcome to the forum.
I'm not part of the Admin Team, so can't really go into the workings of the site but I can tell you that there are some really lovely, sympathetic people here who will listen to you, allow you to get things off your chest and offer some advice if they can.
I'm not in good health myself and there are times when I just want to stay in bed and not emerge again but I try to keep going and offer what little advice I can on here occasionally.
Do please keep in touch, I'm sure that other members will respond to you positively.
    Take care.

Thanks for the tag @janer1967 :) I've seen this @Queenofdisabilities and I'll reply to you shortly with some information. You can then ask any further questions that you might have.

    Edit:

    Posting

It seems as though you've worked out how to start a new discussion already, which is great, but the easiest way to do this is probably to click the '+ New Discussion' button in the top right hand side of the screen.

You can use the drop down menu to select the category in which you'd like your discussion to be posted. You'll then need to write a title, and the body of your post, which you can then publish by clicking the 'save post' button at the bottom.

    Categories

You can view all of the categories of discussion we facilitate here at this link. You can find this by clicking the 'helpful groups' link on the front page of the community, in the light blue box on the left hand side of the page.

Many members prefer to navigate the community by viewing a list of the most recent discussions. You can get to this page by clicking the 'recent discussions' button on the navigation bar at the top of every page.

If you think you've posted in the wrong category, then just let us know and we can move it for you :)

    Commenting

You can comment on a post by typing your comment in the 'type your comment' box at the bottom of a discussion. Click 'post reply' to post your comment.

    Reacting to posts

There are currently three choices of reactions on the community: like, awesome, and insightful. You won't get a notification if someone reacts to your post.

Reactions contribute towards points, which unlock new ranks. Your rank is currently 'listener'. Once you have 25 points, you'll be able to privately message other members if you wish.

    Badges

You can get badges for various different things, including post count, number of reactions, and some special one-off ones for example a badge for completing a challenge or game. You can see what badges you have on your profile page, which you can view by clicking on your username.

    Notifications

You can change your notifications, and other settings, by clicking on the cog icon underneath your username in the top right hand side of the screen and selecting 'edit profile'. The settings options are on down the right hand side of the screen. Remember to click save!

    Report

If you see something on the community that you think breaks our community guidelines, or if you're worried about another member, then please report the post or comment in question. You can do this by clicking 'flag' at the bottom of the comment or post.

I hope that covers some of the main questions you had? Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything else you need us to explain, or if you need us to clarify anything. If you ever need to contact us directly then please email us on community@scope.org.uk.

Hi @Queenofdisabilities, it's great to hear that you have so many interests!

My main interest currently is my artwork, it keeps me going. I can just get on with it whenever I feel well enough.
I also love Sudokus, crosswords and anything that stretches my brain!

    Janer1967 well I didn't know that.
I would much rather get them for helping someone or writing a great post that inspires people.
Or by supporting & being there to let them have someone as opposed to no one.

    Hi oxonlady,
    How are you today?
I was at hospital this afternoon
I even got a member of British Army driving me home.
I had 2 nice scientists look after me & 1 made me a cuppa.
    Hope you are coping.

Oh, sounds quite a good afternoon! Are you taking part in a research study?

My legs are very bad so went to have special compression stockings fitted but it was no good whatsoever, my legs hurt too much. So the next step is for the doctor to refer me to the specialist clinic. Goodness knows how long that will take!

I'm truly exhausted after the trip to the hospital, going to bed shortly. Didn't sleep much at all with the pain last night and I'm on strong painkillers...

I noticed at the hospital that some soldiers were helping out at reception, I think they were guiding people to the vaccination rooms.
